Manteca Unified School District

School Farm
The purpose of the school farm is to be a direct extension of the classroom where students may learn and apply concepts taught in the classroom.  The focus of the agriculture program at Manteca Unified is to follow the agriculture education model that portrays the importance of the three core areas of classroom/laboratory instruction, supervised agricultural experience programs, and FFA student organization activities/opportunities. Agriculture education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture food, fiber, and natural resource systems.

What's Happening at the School FARM.........

Currently, the district school farm is at the beginning stage of major construction.  The district secured a Career Technical Education Grant that will be funding a full remodel of the district school farm.  At the completion of the project, the district farm will be fully complete with new Sheep, Beef, and Swine barns, and a state of the art Fabrication Shop.  A second grant was received and will be funding a Culinary Arts program also.
