District Program Improvement
Under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), Program Improvement (PI) local educational agencies (LEAs) are responsible for implementing certain federal and state requirements during each year that they are in PI.  The requirements vary based on the PI year.
The release of the most recent Adequate Yearly progress (AYP) Report indicated that the District met 42 or 46 of its growth targets, but did not meet all of them. As a result, the Manteca Unified School District has entered Year 3 or Program Improvement, which is called Corrective Action.  District and school site staff have identified and analyzed district needs, and the District has begun revising the LEA Plan to address them.

Programa de Mejoramiento del Distrito
Bajo la Ley de Educación Primaria y Secundaria (ESEA), el Programa de Mejoramiento (PI) y las agencias locales educacionales (LEAs) son responsables de implementar ciertos requisitos federales y estatales durante cada año que estén en PI. Los requisitos varean debido al año de PI.
 La publicación del informe del Progreso Anual Adecuado (AYP) más reciente indica que el Distrito cumplió con 42 de los 46 objetivos de crecimiento, pero no cumplió con todos ellos. Como resultado, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Manteca ha entrado al año número 3 del Programa de Mejoramiento, que se llama Acción Correctiva. El personal del Distrito y de cada escuela ha identificado y analizado las necesidades del distrito, y el Distrito ha iniciado la revisión del Plan LEA para hacerles frente.
