School Fundraisers Aimed at Helping Haiti Victims
Many of the MUSD schools have organized fundraisers to raise money to help the people of Haiti. We are proud of our students, parents, and staff for helping to "give back" to the people of Haiti
We are pleased with the consistent growth our District has experienced over the past 11 years on API. The strong growth made this past year is attributable directly to the focused, and dedicated staff and students who make up MUSD.
French Camp Soaring to New Heights
The staff, parents and students of French Camp School are to be commended for a job well done! French Camp is only one out of 10 of the 903 schools statewide who were at Program Improvement Year 5 in 2008-09 who made their Adequate Yearly Progress targets for two years in a row effectively meeting the federal guidelines for exiting out of Program Improvement. Way to go EAGLES!! Congratulations on a job well done!!! MUSD HONOR BANDS
On Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Lathrop High School's Performing Arts Building, approximately 120 instrumental music students within the Manteca Unified School District participated in the annual Junior High and High School Honor Bands. Performers came from the elementary level for rehearsals at Lathrop High on five evenings to sharpen their skills with Lathrop High School Band director, Desiree Bugarin. High School students were under the direction of Sonoma State University music professor, Dr. Robert Collinsworth. The two groups performed for capacity audiences beginning at 6:00 PM with the Junior High Honor ensemble. They were followed by the High School students at 6:45 PM.
We are very proud of our local Honor Band students!
Planet Party Day
April 15, 2010
Nearly 2000 sixth grade students in MUSD have participated in lesson plans to prepare them for this event. Planet Party Day is designed to allow students to visit an array of exhibits and dialogue with experts in each field of study and expand knowledge that they have gained during the year as they begin to establish their sense of stewardship for the world in which we live.
